I deleted the 4k at 120 hz from CTA-861 and manually added it in through displayid 1.3 and as can be seen in the pictures, now i don't have the option to chose it in windows settings. If i edit the tv resolution from CTA-861 i only have 2 options, resolution and refresh rate which even if it would work it would not fix my issues as from my knowledge i have to play around with blanking to fix max vram at idle, picture 1. If i'm trying to edit the resolution from the main screen detailed resolutions, i only can go up to 65 hz as anything above that will become red, picture 2. And i even tried that to see if 65 will show up, but no it doesn't.I'm reading that the 5700 XT does not support HDMI 2.1, which means the only way to get 4K @ 120 Hz is with YCbCr 4:2:0, and the only way to get YCbCr 4:2:0 is with TV resolutions, so there's no way to do what you want. HDMI 2.0 is limited to 600 MHz pixel clock, so nothing beyond that will be listed. You might have better luck with a DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 active adapter. For anyone having vram issues with radeon cards up to 5700 XT that don't support hdmi 2.1 and want to use 4k at 120 hz with cru, there is no solution as using displayport 1.4 to hdmi 2.1 will disable vrr and freesync/gsync for the moment. Some cable manufacturers say they will fix the issue in the future. The problem i'm having at the moment with cru and 2k is that my image is very blurry when using a custom resolution and refresh rate through cru, the default 2k ones don't have this problem. This are the settings that i'm using : |
