RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I have an LG C1 hooked up to a 3080 Ti, and I'm trying to use CRU to remove all resolutions except 2560x1440 @ 120hz and 3840x2160 @ 120hz.
So far what I've done is deleted all the 'TV resolutions' except the 3840x2160 120hz one listed in the extension blocks, as well as deleted the few 30hz and below ones from the 'HDMI support' blocks. This works to remove everything unwanted except 3840x2160 @ 60hz. I tried removing the 3840x2160 @ 60hz one from the 'detailed resolutions' box, which does work, but then NVCP lists 2560x1440 as the 'native' resolution. It doesn't seem to harm anything that way but I'd rather it 'knew' that 4k was the native res. Then I tried deleting the 3840x2160 @ 120hz resolution from the 'TV resolutions' block, then modifying the 3840x2160 @ 60hz 'detailed resolution' but it won't let me set anything past 60hz for some reason - the boxes just turn red and I can't click 'OK.' Can anyone help me out and tell me how I should be going about this? Thanks very much! edit: OK, I realize now the main issue is that CRU doesn't let you edit the 'native' resolution in the 'detailed resolutions' box past 655.35mhz pixel clock - so I guess unless there's a workaround for that, I'd have to deal with 2560x1440 listed as native to truly eliminate the 60hz option.. |
