Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

Hi, I noticed that when playing a dx11 game my TV would defaulte to a 59hz refresh rate, by comparison in dx9 the refresh was a normal 60hz. That while certenly not a dramatic problem caused inconsistencys in the frametime delivery.

Using CRU i created a custom resolution identical to my native one and now the refresh rate stays at 60hz even in dx11 applications.

Since I'm using a 9xx series Nvidia card connected via hdmi to a 1080p 60Hz Sony TV how should I setup CRU to have the best experience possible? Btw I'm not particularly tech savvy.

Now every time I start a game the screen flickers a couple of times, is it normal(before using CRU it didn't do it)?
