Don't delete 59.950 Hz until you know 144 Hz works.

If you can't get 144 Hz to be available at all, then the driver is not allowing it for some reason. Try higher horizontal blanking/total values by raising the front porch/sync width/back porch 8 at a time like this: 16/24/24, 24/24/24, 24/24/32

No, what's weird is you were getting that message at all. If the resolution is not available, how can it be out of range? You should not be getting that message unless you deleted all the other resolutions and removed the extension block. Then the driver might be setting some lower resolution that your monitor doesn't support.
