Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

I then rolled back my nvidia drivier and then updated it again, still the same result. Only when I extend the display or use the laptop display I can change these settings again, not even when I use the CRU utility to add a custom resolution and hit 'ok'. Is there anything I can do to roll back the changes by CRU?

That's perplexing because running reset-all.exe and rebooting should reset everything, and I haven't heard of this happening before. Are you able to set the resolution in the NVIDIA control panel?
