I read through this thread and did not see any posts detailing the same problem I am having and I'm wondering if CRU could fix this problem. I noticed for it to work the monitor must report a working EDID. I have a Westinghouse LCM 22w3 which normally is capable of 1680x1050. The problem is that the monitor is detected as an Acer AL1714 and my resolution is maxed at 1280x1024.It sounds like the monitor has the wrong EDID. CRU can override that as long as the monitor is reporting an EDID, even if it's the wrong one. CRU will only work with the monitor connected to the Radeon card and not the Intel HD 4600. Thanks for the reply. I added 1680x1050 @ 60 Hz as the first detailed resolution and deleted all others. There was only one other in detailed resolutions (1280x1024 @ 60.019 Hz) and two in standard resolutions (1280x1024 (5:4) @ 60 Hz and 1152x864 (4:3) @ 75 Hz.) I did not check the Include extension block box. After rebooting and getting to the Starting Windows screen I am left with a black screen. The monitor doesn't go into sleep mode so I assume there is some output to the monitor but I cannot see anything. All I can do is a hard restart then boot into safe mode and reset all displays. |
