I can set it up fine and it works on the desktop but whenever a game selects it my monitor says "out of range". I can still use TeamViewer tho and coming out of the game using that and back in again seems to fix it, but i can't figure out the issue.

To get the 1440p res I copy the 3440x1440p settings and just edit the active pixels. Could be that?

I don't know if FreeSync monitors support custom resolutions. You might have to use GPU scaling, and it might behave differently depending on whether FreeSync is active or not.

That does make sense actually.

When you go into the monitors info when it's on the desktop it does say 2560x1440 and "normal" so freesync is off at that point. I'm guessing loading the game activates freesync and that's causing the issue.

I do wonder why coming out of the game and back in fixes it tho. Maybe freesync switches off?
