My video card is a Radeon HD 6570, I have attached two screenshots as reference, showing each screen in windows settings and CRU.

My point is 2560x1080 should already be defined by the monitor even if it's not listed in the Windows settings, so how are you adding it with CRU if it's already there? Both screenshots only show CRU with HDMI.

This is the opposite of what should happen. HDMI should require the patch with 6000-series cards. DVI should not require the patch if both the monitor and the video card support dual-link DVI. What model are these monitors?
