That was the problem! I had to do a complete uninstall with the help of the cleaner tool (http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297), as a normal uninstall wouldn't cut it. Seems the program got corrupt by the upgrade. Really appreciate the help, was tearing my hair out. Thanks heaps.
