Catleap 'blurry' after booting or waking from sleep
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on the following problem I'm having.
I have a 2B (primary) and a regular Q270 SE in extended mode using the Nvidia 314.07 driver on a GTX 660. Everything is patched OK using the latest nvlddmkm-patcher-1.1.3. I can confirm this as can OC the 2B fine. The 2B runs at 100Hz and SE at 60Hz, both at the native 2560 x 1440 res.

Now, the problem I have is half the time when the PC wakes from sleep, or boots up, the non-2B will look 'blurry' for lack of a better description. Sometimes hitting the 'Detect' button in the Win 7 Display>Screen Resolution window will fix the blurriness (with the detection sound heard as if unplugging and re-plugging in monitor). The other way to fix it is to physically un- and re-plug the DVI cable - this can take a few tries sometimes. I have eliminated the DVI cable as the problem as have tried a few and have also changed the monitor to the other DVI port on the graphics card. This also happens both when the 2B is clocked at 60Hz (unpatched) and overclocked to 100Hz. Both screens are connected directly to the DVI ports of the 660, no adapter involved.

Does this sound like a problem with the EDID file? I've read that setting the resolution in CRU can fix this but am not sure I've done this correctly so have added a few screenies (sorry they're so large).

Any help would be great - Thanks

I'm having a similar problem. After sleep my monitors colors look washed out.

No, that sounds like a problem with the monitor itself.

This sounds like a driver issue. I replied in your thread.

Thanks for clearing those up, ToastyX Smile

Does the installation of the software/drivers look OK from the screen grabs? I wonder if you might be able to suggest anything I could try to stop this from happening?

Also, my colour profiles seem to return to default when waking from sleep and re-applying them again seems to work (not sure if this is the same issue with 'limited range output' that you mentioned in Deatk 's thread)?

Cheers

Everything looks fine. I don't know what you can do about it. Some users had trouble with sleep mode with the Shimian monitors as well. The 2B monitors were never affected by this.

What are you using to apply color profiles? That's separate from the limited range issue.

Hmm, I wonder what it could be. I'll have a look at the Shimian issue you mention as it might provide some clues.

For the colour profiles I'm just using the Windows profiler.

Make sure you have "Use Windows display calibration" checked like this link shows: http://www.laszlopusztai.net/2009/08/23/...windows-7/

Make sure "Adjust desktop color settings" is set to "Other applications control color settings" in the NVIDIA control panel.

If nothing helps, try using this: http://goebish.free.fr/cpk/
