Nvidia Surround makes a 5760x1080 but limits me to 60hz. If I create a surround with only the two Lenovos they can do 165hz. When I add the Samsung the hz is being reduced. All monitors are via Display Ports connected on a RTX 3060ti directly. Can this be fixed with CRU?
Yes, it's possible. NVIDIA Surround requires all monitors to support the same resolution and refresh rate with the same exact timing parameters, so you would need to edit the detailed resolution for 1920x1080 @ 165 Hz on the Samsung to match the Lenovo monitors.

I know maybe its mixing speakers from montior but i tried everythinng with cru and edid and all of this.
I can't make sense of your post. I just see a mess of wires, so I don't know what's connected to what, and saying you tried everything with CRU and EDID doesn't tell me what you did. Is the computer connected to the decoder using HDMI in, and the decoder to the monitor using HDMI out, and the decoder to the AVR using RCA cables? What audio formats are defined in CRU?

Are you using a resolution with enough horizontal blanking? HDMI audio is transmitted during the horizontal blanking periods, so if there is not enough blanking, there won't be enough bandwidth for 5.1 surround. Check if 5.1 works with 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz. Usually 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz will have enough horizontal blanking, but if you're using 165 Hz, that often has reduced blanking, which might not be enough. If 60 Hz works, then you can try editing the detailed resolution for 1920x1080 @ 165 Hz to use "Native HDTV" timing, which should give enough horizontal blanking. If the monitor won't accept that, then you'll have to try 120 or 144 Hz instead.

I followed all steps on reddit htpc, that means edid/monitor info something like that, and cru ofc and resolutions ofc. Everything is connected everything is normal every input. Maybe i will buy newer avr beacause i dont have nerves to setup this. If you willing to call me on video call or direct input with messages i will give you my phone and text me im from europe, if you are very good in these things you can try solve with team.viewer

Hi ToastyX,

After lots of trial and error, I was finally able to get NVIDIA Surround running at 5760×1080 @ 120 Hz across my triple monitor setup (Samsung Odyssey G5A 1440p + 2x Lenovo G27-37 1080p), and I wanted to share what actually solved it:

Instead of using Detailed Resolutions, Manual Timings, or custom PC Resolutions — which caused either black screens or resulted in Surround defaulting to 60 Hz, I edited only the TV Resolutions block via CRU.

Specifically, I:
1. Deleted any conflicting or redundant TV Resolutions
2. Ensured that all three monitors reported exactly 1920×1080 (16:9) @ 120 Hz in the TV Resolutions block

After doing this, NVIDIA Surround instantly offered me 5760×1080 @ 120 Hz, and all monitors came up correctly with no flickering, blank screens, or timing mismatches. Each monitor’s on-screen display also confirmed it was running at 120 Hz.

I suspect this worked because TV Resolutions provide a more standardized EDID structure that NVIDIA can match across different panels. Matching PC resolutions didn’t work for me, likely due to hidden timing discrepancies and me knowing too little about this stuff.

I’ve now run multiple benchmarks in Assetto Corsa, including full races and hotlaps, and the framerate is stable across all three screens. No flickering, no tearing, no sync issues. The in-game FPS counter and OSD both confirm a 120 Hz output, and each monitor’s built-in menu also reports 120 Hz active.

Thanks for your excellent tool, without CRU, this would’ve been impossible.

Best regards,
Billy

Hi again ToastyX,

it went well for a couple of rounds and all of a sudden the displays went off as if the Display Port was pulled and connected again. After that the picture was weird again, i checked NVIDIA Panel and it reseted back to 60hz. I had a success for about 20 minutes. That gives me hope. What would you suggest to be done at the Detailed Resolutions?

Thank you and best regards.
