How are you determining the refresh rate in the games?

The game itself has the option to change the refresh rate, Diablo 3, Magic Duels, for example

It might be rounding 143.8 Hz down to 143 Hz in the options. Why is that a problem?

Thank you my friend for your reply

First thing, this is happening after i sell my PG278Q to buy this upgraded version, it took 2 days, and the only thing i have done was plug it in when he arrived, i didn´t change nothing, after this i already format my notebook, try different drivers, read numerous forums, etc etc etc

What you say could be true in theory or because someone tell you that to avoid selling conflict, but i had 9 different PG278Q and a VG248QE that i tested in my notebook before this model and none of them gave me this results, all games had 120/144Hz in game or out of it.

I can tell you that the refresh rate in game, for example 119Hz in 3D, shows the Nvidia Red Warning saying that it´s not a 3D capable display, the image doesn´t convert to 3D because of that, so, the Refresh Rate is bellow 120Hz in game, beside he is at 120Hz in desktop mode and this is not normal

The PG278Q and PG278QR are different monitors with different EDIDs. They might define the refresh rates differently. If CRU 1.3 can read the monitor's extension block with your GPU, you can edit it and see for yourself. If it's something like 143.855 Hz, changing it to 144 Hz might fix the problem. That shouldn't affect performance though. 3D Vision is a separate issue. You'll have to ask NVIDIA support about that.

Thank you my friend for your reply, i used CRU already, i change them, but in all of my games the problem persist, i don´t know how to delete those values, i only edit them in the "first square" of the program, and add the others, this "first square" only show me one option, the 59Hz, the others were missing...... I was using 3 days ago the Asus PG278Q, and tested also a VG248QE, and none of them gave me this problem, now i use the PG278QR and it´s been a headache cause at 119HZ in 3D, the monitor shows the Nvidia Red Warning saying it´s not a 3D compatible monitor.....I also notice lag with G-Sync On, since Nvidia updated their drivers from version 378.66, i can´t use other version than this one or else i get pretty much lag and games become unplayable.....I don´t know if it´s the BIOS, or EC firmware that need an update, i have BIOS version 1.05.09 for my Clevo P771DM-G, nobody at the time could confirm if there is other version, cause i need also that my thunderbolt detect an eGPU and i also need a firmware update here cause the last update does not show me if it´s eGPU compatible or not....

Is CRU 1.3 able to read the monitor's extension block with your GPU or does it only list "Default extension block" by default? If you add 120 Hz manually with the wrong timing parameters, 3D Vision won't work correctly.

yes, at first he only read a frequency, 59Hz in this case, then i edit this one, put 60Hz and add the 120 and 144Hz, nothing changed, i deleted all of them yesterday, didn´t notice nothing unusual, i just leave the program like you say, by default without any extension

Your answer doesn't make sense. Does CRU 1.3 read the extension block or not? What do you mean by default without any extension? There should be an extension block. Does your laptop have switchable graphics?
