No Detailed Resolutions Within Extension Blocks
Im currently following a tutorial to get stretched resolution, and one of the steps is to go into the extension blocks, go to the detailed resolutions, and copy the timings. However, there are no detailed resolutions in the extension blocks.
I have a 144 hz ASUS Tuf Gaming VG24V. Please help, this is my first time using CRU. |

RE: No Detailed Resolutions Within Extension Blocks
There doesn't need to be any detailed resolutions in the extension blocks.

RE: No Detailed Resolutions Within Extension Blocks
I’ve run into this as well. It’s usually a limitation of how the EDID structure handles the data—standard blocks have a very fixed layout for detailed timings. If you're out of slots in the base block, your best bet is to use a CTA-861 Extension Block and add them as 'Data Blocks' (specifically TV resolutions or high-definition timings) rather than trying to force them into a standard detailed slot. ToastyX’s documentation on this is a lifesaver if you're stuck on the byte limits!
