The "Default" button restores the list as it was before you made any changes.

RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
May you advise on 3072x1728 60hz on r9 290 with HDMI 1.4a which supports 10.2Gbps & 3072x1728 60hz requies total bandwidth 8.96Gbps.

Your app defaults to 30hz everytime, how to also set the refresh rate?

SRE doesn't deal with refresh rates. It's only for adding or removing GPU-scaled resolutions. GPU-scaled resolutions are scaled to the native resolution, so they will have whatever refresh rates are available at the native resolution.

Thank you very much for this tool.

Any news on the command-line options? I'd love to have a -delete_all and -import file.xyz switch.

I wanted to and investigated implementing command-line options, but it turns out making a GUI program that can also act as a console program has complications in Windows, so I would need to split the program into a library portion and the GUI portion, and then write the console portion as a separate program using the library, so I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. My focus has been on the CRU rewrite, but I might take some time soon to make a console version of SRE and to give the current CRU a minor update.

RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
Hi,

I found SRE about a month ago. Made the resolution 5120x2160p to run my G95NC in "21:9"-mode. Worked flawlessly. Thank you btw, ToastyX, for the awesome softwares!

Then RDR released, I found it to be a tat too taxing at 7620x2160p, so wanted to pick my 5120x2160p resoution but it was gone!

Started up SRE again and the 5120x2160p was NOT missing - it is still on the list. Also checked that regedit, the key(or whatever it is called) that SRE actually edits and 5120x2160p is on it. But I cannot select it anywhere; Windows Display settings, Nvidia control panel, or ingame - in any game.

Also, to add; the regedit key that contains all the different GPU scaled resolutions, the ones that SRE also shows by default when starting the program, I can delete these and see the changes everywhere - fx the resolution I delete disappears from Windows display settings etc. And I can re-add them. But any resolution above (I think it was) 3000x2000 will not appear to be selected.

What changed? :O

What resolution does the Windows display settings show as recommended? Is scaling set to display or GPU in the NVIDIA control panel? Are you using DSR or DLDSR (I imagine that wouldn't work with DSC anyway)? What driver version do you have installed?

It shows 5120x1440 as recommended.
Scaling is set to GPU (I have tried monitor scaling too)
I am not using DSR or DLDSR (can't even enable it, probably DSC yes)
Using driver 566.03 (Got a 3080 Ti)

Thank you

Normally NVIDIA will not list scaled resolutions where the width or height is greater than what it considers the recommended resolution, so I'm not sure how it worked before. Run this and post the edid-test.txt file here so I can see what the monitor is reporting: https://www.monitortests.com/edid-test.zip
