No, that should work. The TMDS clock should be 340 MHz for 60 Hz to work, but that wouldn't affect 56 Hz. Seems like it's actually limited to 165 MHz pixel clock because you should at least have 2560x1080 by default if it was the 300.99 MHz limit, so something isn't right with the driver. You should report this to Intel support.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi! Thanks so much for this Utility!

I have been trying to get it to work to fix an issue I am getting with multiple older dell monitors. My specs are:

Dell Optiplex 7060 2 x display ports
2 x Dell Dell U2412M connected via Display Ports
Intel UHD 630 with driver 31.0.0101.2114
Windows Pro 11 25H2 OS build 26200.7462

in the last week or so the resolution dropped to 640x480 with no way to get the 1920x1200 back via reboots, driver updates etc. Only thing that worked was to unplug the display port cables and replug them in and all works fine for a while. Then reverts to the 640 x 480 resolution. Monitors are recognized as Generic PNP instead as the the Dell U2412M when the correct resolution is detected after unplugging and plugging the display port cable in.

I tried using the CRU utility but when I restart the new 1920x1200 resolution won't take... any ideas or tips on how to force 1920 x1200 and keep it that way?

Thanks in advance!

This seems like some sort of DisplayPort handshake issue since it works after reconnecting. I did a search and found several other people experiencing the same issue with the U2412M. One suggested disabling DDC/CI in the monitor's OSD. Another suggested unplugging the monitor's power for a minute to reset the monitors, which would indicate a firmware bug. Another option is to use a DisplayPort to DVI adapter instead to avoid the handshake issues.

Okay thanks @ToastyX! I did try disabling DDC/CI in the monitor's OSD. Unplugging the monitor's power for a minute to reset the monitors, factory resetting the monitors.

It seems a windows update started the issues as the monitors were working fine for a few months. would the DVI-D adapter bypass any handshake issues?

I was hoping that the CRU utility could force the correct resolution but I guess that is not possible with this bug?

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Really hoping someone can help me out here I'm tearing my hair out in frustration.

Basicailly I'm using a windows 11 PC with a 4090 and its connected to a Samsung 77 inch S95F TV.

The problem is, for one reason or another, my TV will NOT work at 165hz (which windows has as an option to select in Display properties.

I've tried everything on CRU that I can think of using guides etc but that 165 option on my Display setting list just stays the saem no matter what.

This isnt a problem as such, but some programs I use will ALWAYS default to the highest fresh rate possible, regardless of what my PC is set to normally. This is causing certain programs to not even boot because my TV crashes upon this refresh rate switch.
