RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hey ToastyX,
A while back I had an issue with my windows completely crashing whenever I modified anything on my 4K LG TV EDID, every time I had to disconnect the TV completely, force reboot the PC on another screen, and delete the modified EDID. You helped me back then by recommending me of installing an older display driver (466.77), which worked great, I was even able to install newer drivers over it without causing any more crash. Sorry to bring back the subject, but the problem now is that after reinstalling my pc, for some reasons even with drivers 466.77 it doesn't work anymore, the crashes are back. I did several clean reinstall with display drivers uninstaller and tried so many things, without success. I doubt it's related but I did update my TV firmware recently as well. I also tried other solutions like AW EDID Editor but it seems like the CEA extension size is too big for it to handle. Is there anything else I could try to solve the issue? I'm a bit desperate as this is the only solution for me to enable 5.1 LPCM and remove those erroneous default resolutions the tv is reporting |
