Whether display scaling is available depends on whether lower resolutions are defined in the EDID. Strobelight's setup program creates an EDID override with only the native resolution at different refresh rates.

I don't see why Windows 7 vs. 8 would make a difference. That seems like a driver issue. Display scaling should be available out of the box with those monitors. Maybe in Windows 8, the driver wants a lower resolution with the same refresh rate, which wouldn't be available for 144 Hz.

Use CRU instead of Phoenix if you want to play around with EDID overrides: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Threa...tility-CRU

For 1920x1080 @ 144 Hz, use the "LCD reduced" timing option. You can use "LCD standard" for other resolutions.
