AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Hi there,

first, thank you for your work Smile and second let me explain my trouble i have.
i have:
6x rx 570 asus rog strix 4gb
asus prime h270 plus
60gb ssd, 4gb ram and celeron cpu
monitor is philipis connected via old conector and using reduction to hdmi.

so in windows 10 build 1703 and adrenaline 18.4.1 driver, patcher 1.4.6 all worked like a charm. trouble started when i updated windows on 1803 April build. all starts to be not responding, like you want to move with mouse and all happened after 10seconds.. i wasnt able to set frequency via bat file from overdriveN tool it gave me BSOD. also i close it and waited like for 10minutes and responsivnes was not much better. i was not able to open amd settings window. VEEEEERYYYYY slow response for all clicks and movements.
so i tried to set pcie gen auto/gen 1 and gen 2 nothing worked. also have read in this forum to disable 4G decode. windows started again work properly fast, however only 4 cards was "green" in device manager remaining 4 were as like before atkmdag patch applied.
i tried to reinstall windows 10 1803 (fresh installation + full updates) twice also tried amd newest driver 18.5.1. till applying atikmdag patcher 1.4.6 all work properly (except my card have modified bios, so....), after i apply patcher, then slowness start to happen... i dont know where could be the problem, but i suspect kind of compatibility between 1803 w10 and patcher 1.4.6.

please can you advise/take a look on this problem?
thank you very much

I'm not seeing any issues with 1803 and 1.4.6 with 18.4.1 and 18.5.1. I've seen some people report the stuttering/slow response with 18.4.1 and 18.5.1 without the patch. I don't know why you're only seeing the problem with the patch, but it's not a patch issue. Use 18.3.4 until the problem is fixed.

May you please check if yout patcher still works with Adrenalin Q2 drivers please ?

1.4.6 still works as far as I can tell. I don't see any major changes in the driver.

I have the same video card you do. I'm not seeing any issues using 1.4.6 with 18.4.1 and 18.5.1, so I don't know what could be causing your problem. Try using DDU and 18.3.4.

ill give it a shot. it all start to happen AFTER installing windows 1803 update.
so ill use DDU and then install older driver version and will see. will report back today later..

EDIT: so i used ddu and removed driver, then instaled 18.3.4. till now all worked proeprly. Again applied patcher 1.4.6. and after restart stuttering started again. Its not that big now but still remains and im not able to open amd settings.

EDIT2: have tried also 18.2.3 and unfortunately same resultsSad

Again sayning i ised fresh windows install and full update, then instaling new driver and patcher thats all. Before patch all wokra normaly after patcher stuttering occur. Hovewer i need patcher because i bios moded my gpus..so...
Bios have 4G decode enabled and all pcie settings set to gen 2,audo disabled, main gpu is pice(not auto or internal gpu)

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
so i havent been able to successfully fix my rig, i did all above without any luck. fortunately i had on USB old version of windows (1703 or so) and reinstalled it, disabled win updates, installed amd 18.3.4 driver, patcher 1.4.6 and all is now working as needed. so i assume there is still kind of problem between new version windows 1803 and patcher (as i already tried 18.3.4). not sure what is causing this stuttering, hope you will figured it out in near future.

thank you and GL

Either the Vega cores inside the Ryzen 2400G can be used, either the bios moded RX 570s.
But I can not have the Vega cores as main display and the bios moded RX 570 properly setup. I tried with 18.3.4 then 18.4.1 then 2018 Q2 then 18.5.1

When I install the driver that's design to support both Ryzen APU (edit in " ") "and Radeon discrete GPUs", wether it's the 2018 Q2 or the 18.5.1, along with the Vega cores inside the Ryzen, they can't work together.
If I have the Ryzen as main display, I have to patch the driver so that my RX 570s can compute. But as soon as I do it and restart, the Vega cores show a code 43 error.
So:
Ryzen 2400G as display with 2GB shared mem
18.5.1 driver + pixel clock patch = RX 570 ok, Ryzen 2400G Vega 11 get code 43.
18.5.1 driver no pixel patch = Vega 11 ok, RX 570 show code 43.

RX 570 as display
18.5.1 driver + pixel clock patch = RX 570 ok, Ryzen 2400G vega 11 get code 43.
18.5.1 driver no pixel patch = Vega 11 ok, RX 570 show code 43.

Same with previous Q2 driver.

That's strange. They should all use the same driver, so it doesn't make sense for it to flip-flop like that. Plugging in a monitor shouldn't affect whether the driver loads. If that's the case, you might need a dummy plug.

If you modded the BIOS, how can it be working normally before the patch? The driver won't even load with a modded BIOS unless you patch the driver. That's why you don't see the stuttering until after you apply the patch. The stuttering is a driver issue that has nothing to do with the patch. I've seen lots of people report stuttering with 18.4.1 and 18.5.1. I'm not sure why older drivers aren't working for you. Maybe it's a driver issue with 1803.
