RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
So Toasty I have a question. I'm using my 49" CX primarily as a monitor, and I've read the changes for version 1.5. Which timing should I use for custom resolutions then? Native or Automatic? PC vs HDTV? Oh and if it matters, I'm using your patched CX dat file with the 48gbs mod. I also have the RTX 3090 FE.

"Native" can help when trying other refresh rates if "Automatic" doesn't display correctly. For non-TV resolutions like 2560x1440, "PC" and "HDTV" use the same timing parameters. |

Ok sounds good, thanks! I edited my current custom resolutions and just made em "Automatic (HDTV)" and it works as intended. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi ToastyX!
Thank you very much for your free software! I have a HP pavilion m6 1060sl (Intel 4000 + AMD Radeon HD 7670M) notebook with i5-3210M. Since it is an old Intel generation, I did what is written in the section "Alternative method for Intel GPUs" about the EDID installer. Then I tried both increasing and lowering the resolution, also changing the refresh rate but nothing happened. In the attached picture I've just edited the first default Detailed resolution changing it to 800x600 and changing 60 to 70Hz, then I run both restart and restart64, even restarted the notebook but nothing happened, am I doing something wrong? Thank you very much |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I've been trying to get CRU working again on my PC, but for some reason, when I add a detailed resolution of any kind, mainly 2560x1080 at 80hz and/or freesync range 60-80, press ok then use the restart.exe, nothing gets applied.
This is a 5700 with a 5700XT bios applied. Driver version 21.1.1 AMD. Thanks. |

What monitor is this? Are you using DisplayPort or HDMI? |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I added some detailed resolutions with higher refresh rates in cru.exe, ran restart64.exe, and then checked the windows display settings but couldn't find the refresh rates. I tried restarting but that didn't do anything. I'm on an Dell xps 15 9500. Does it not work with laptop displays?
Edit: I also tried exporting to an exe but that didn't work either. My laptop has a gtx 1650 ti and an i7 10750H. |

The alternative method probably only works for external monitors. |
