RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hey Toasty. Are you still maintaining this CRU software?
My computer is running Win 10 and I downloaded and ran your CRU software. I have 4 monitors, but just 3 HDMI ports on my laptop & docking station combined. I bought a HDMI splitter to attach to the HDMI port on my laptop directly and then tried to use the CRU software to increase the resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 3840 x 1080 for the main monitor so that I could use two of the monitors as one off the splitter. The resolution option shows in the Display Resolution dropdown, but whenever I try to select it, it just returns to 1920 x 1080. (see attachment) Please help. I've restarted and I ran the restart.exe with no effect. Sean |

There's no reason for a resolution to be listed in the display settings if it can't be selected. Splitters are for displaying the same image on two monitors. I don't see how sending 3840x1080 to both monitors would work the way you want. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hey Toasty, can you manage to make it possible to use option "Perform scalling on monitor" in Nvidia Contol Panel when using custom resolutions from CRU?
If I create custom resolution, it's only showing GPU in Nvidia Control Panel's scalling options |

If vsync is not working correctly, that would be a driver bug. Are you sure it's set to 75 Hz in the Windows display settings? I don't know why editing is disabling FreeSync. CRU doesn't include the range limits by default, but that shouldn't be needed with HDMI FreeSync. Try using the "Edit..." button at the top and enable "Include if slot available" under range limits. Depending on the driver version I had several instances where 75hz wasn't listed in the display settings until I added it with CRU, usually after ticking on VSR or using GPU scaling iirc. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi ToastyX!
Thank you very much for your free software! I read your guide in the first post and have been using it in the last hour trying to change the resolution of my notebook screen but I'm not able to do it. I tried both increasing and lowering it, also changing the refresh rate but nothing happened. This is my configuration https://i.imgur.com/zhU8nrF.png basically I've just edited the first default Detailed resolution changing it to 800x600 and changing 60 to 70Hz, then I run both restart and restart64, even restarted the notebook but nothing happened, am I doing something wrong? Thank you for my probably dumb question. Just for information I have an HP pavilion m6 1060sl (Intel 4000 + AMD Radeon HD 7670M) with i5-3210M, I also did what it is written in the section "Alternative method for Intel GPUs" about the EDID installer. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi ToastyX.
Thank you very much for your free software. You gave a new life to my LG 32 TV from 2013, thank you. I find your CRU program wonderful. I have read a lot but one thing is not clear to me, I have an RX580 with HDMI 2.0 output, the HDMI cable is 2.1 and the TV is HDMI 1.4B. The question is if I leave the TDMS at 340 if what commands is the limitation of the HDMI1.4B of the TV, or sends the HDMI 2.0 of the RX. It lets me add the HDMI 2.x block and it doesn't give me a problem, but if I limit the 1.4b to 340, doesn't it make sense to set the TDMS to 600? Thank you very much and greetings. |

Changing the values only tells the driver what the TV supports. It doesn't send any commands to the hardware. |
