The NVIDIA control panel issue is a driver bug that needs to be reported to NVIDIA. thank you for your hint. i didnt see the 4096 in "HDMI support" tab. now i also deleted that last entry. and now it worked. thank you so much. you are the best. ?? |

I was able to change it and delete the protection block but still no joy. So should I attempt to take the concern to Nvidia what precisely should I request for them to address? |

So should I attempt to take the concern to Nvidia what precisely should I request for them to address?Tell them EDID overrides using this method don't have any effect with your particular TV and GPU: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...itor-edids If they want you to provide an .inf file, you can export one using CRU. Make sure to delete the "Extension override" data block before doing so. Mention that the problem seems to affect RTX 3000/4000-series GPUs with certain HDMI 2.1 displays, and that older GPUs without HDMI 2.1 don't have the issue. If it worked with an older driver version, tell them that as well. |

It certainly should be able to do 120hz and HDR without Gaming Mode enabled. You are correct, it turned out to be my HDMI cable. I replaced it with a shorter one from "Zeskit" and all the issues went away |
