This issue is plaguing me on SWTOR and Fallout 76. I've tried adding the 1520x1440 resolution but it just won't take it.
What is the issue?

The issue is two fold:

1.) The game SWTOR stretches when I put it on 5120x1440 for my Samsung Odyssey monitor.

2.) I tried using the CRU option but it won't let me add the resolution 5120x1440 manually.

Isn't the G9 already 5120x1440? What do you mean it won't let you add the resolution?

I play Elite Dangerous, which have a notorious issue with antialiasing not working, hence I'm trying to make it work with DLDSR on my 3090 on a LCPower monitor, 1440p 165hz, Gsync compatible (it's a Freesync monitor, manufactured in 2024/2025).

My issue is, the DLDSR resolution is fixed at 60 hz, I'm very susceptible to refresh and have a hard time playing at below 100hz...

I tried using CRU after reading online, and removing the 3840x2160@60hz tv resolution in the extension block, under CTA-861 "kinda" works... the DLDSR 2.25x resolution in the nvidia control panel magically changes from 5760x3240@60hz to 3480x2160 and I can now set it to 165hz, but the real issue is that gsync stops working completely as soon as I touch ANYTHING inside CRU...

It doesn't break only in Elite, it's system wide, to troubleshoot I used the Gsync Pendulum demo and everytime I touch something inside CRU, the Pendulum demo doesn't let me enable Gsync anymore, until I use reset.exe from CRU to restore the driver, and that fixes Gsync but gets me back to square one, with 60hz on DLDRS.

I tried various "guides" for example one suggesting removing all standard resolutions alongside all the detailed resolutions from the extension block, nothing seems to work, gsync breaks every time until I use reset.exe from CRU...

I tried the search in the forum but I didn't find any post explaining exactly what is happening or how to achieve what I need, that being Gsync working on a DLDSR resolution at above 100hz (I would be fine even with 100hz, but if possible 120 or even my native 165 would be the best)

I hope not to upset you guys if somehow this question has already been asked/answered, as I said I tried my best with searching in the forum and on google, I had no luck, I swear it's been months that I've been trying to make it work and only today I realized how the gsync was breaking, and that was by me thinkering with CRU... I really am not tech savvy enough to really know what I'm doing, but I really would love to understand what's happening and if possible how to solve the issues Sad

Thanks in advance to anyone that will try to help!
I haven't heard of that happening before. Using CRU should not break G-SYNC, so I'm not sure what the issue could be. Make sure the range limits are included and showing in the detailed resolution list in the main window, and make sure the range includes 165 Hz.

Hi Toasty, thank you so much for your quick reply!!!
I will include a screenshot of what CRU shows me, and as you can see I don't see my native resolution 2560x1440@165Hz anywhere, let alone in the detailed resolution list in the main window that you mentioned!

Detailed resolution - main window

I tried adding it manually but the only way it seems to be allowed is by using "the Exact Reduced" option, but seeing the pixel clock at 650,76 Mhz... I don't know is it too high?

Pixel Clock

as I said I'm not an expert by any means, all these numbers feel daunting to me and I'm afraid to mess something up and break something...

Thanks again for any further help!!

And Happy Holidays!
