edit: I just checked on wikipedia for edid. It says byte 24 contains the available formats. in my case 0xa. bit 4-3 which according to the table means 10 = RGB 4:4:4 + YCrCb 4:2:2.

So that means the adapter doesn't support chroma 4:4:4 ??? or that the TV doesn't ?

I have a x700f or xf70 which is basically the same model but newer ( the 'd' means 2016 while 'f' means 2018)

For about a month or two I'm unable to use CRU with custom resolution. I don't know if it's NVIDIA driver update or newer version of CRU.

I make custom resolution in CRU (I used auto LCD Standard timing before and it worked fine) but it doesn't work anymore. I even did manual and copied timings (which were the same) and whenever I switch to the resolution, my monitor goes out of range. When I do same timings and resolution through NVIDIA control panel it works fine.

Clean install of Windows 10 1607 LTSB, latest NVIDIA drivers.

That's for EDID version 1.4. Your EDID is version 1.3, and HDMI defines YCbCr 4:4:4 in the extension block. I don't see anything wrong with the EDID, and the adapter should support 4K 4:4:4 according to the specs, so I wonder if this is a video card limitation. Does anything change if you delete the "4:2:0 capability map" data block in the extension block?

What monitor? With the NVIDIA control panel, does the resolution still work if you change the standard from "Automatic" to "Manual" with the same timing parameters?

Nope, no change... Deleted the block, run restart64, even rebooted just in case.

Guess I'm out of luck and it's time to upgrade the videocard... been thinking about getting a nvidia card for a while.

Hi, I'm apologize if this was discussed before, but googling gave me nothing.

My question is: is it possible to use custom resolution with Nvidia sending 4:2:2 10/12bit to the 4K display via HDMI 2.0? No matter what settings in CRU I'm using TV (UEKS7000) always rejects the signal.

Yes if I change to manual and keep the timings it still let's me use the resolution.

That's strange. The same timing parameters should work with CRU. Are you using DVI? Any adapters? Export a file and post it here so I can see if there's anything strange.

Custom resolutions don't have a way to specify a color format. YCbCr formats are normally limited to TV resolutions. If you're trying to add lower resolutions, try GPU scaling.
