I'm using an AMD Radeon 7950 with Catalyst 13.11 (I think beta9) and I've managed to get the monitor to 62Hz but no further without the monitor throwing up an "out of range" error. Using DVI Dual Link.I think there are two versions of that monitor with different firmware, but that doesn't matter because I doubt either version is overclockable. So far, every 2560x1440 monitor with an on-screen menu or multiple inputs skips frames. I don't think any of the name brand monitors are overclockable. Yeah, it's a shame. I wanted to get the better quality screen surround, stand, OSD, multiple inputs, QC and warranty so I didn't go for one of the overclockables. I think I have the newer firmware because the response times as far as I can tell are very good from this monitor. |
