When I change the resolution one to another it fixes it but should I correct the numbers as 60 and 300?

P.S. I can't select 300 as a custom from CRU why and how can I do that? Thank you

I don't understand what you're saying. Refresh rates don't need to be integers. That wouldn't cause horizontal lines to appear.

as i read internet info, this is standard freq for this model. but i havnt 75hz in os
That's a 60 Hz monitor.

hmm. i see youtube review and online seller's data. there are 75 hz.
ok i set up 75 hz manually.
i copy data from default cru monitor 60 hz profile to new 75 hz profile and now its work at 75 hz.

now i encountering the issue with 1366*768 installation. params used for all other resolutions, from default monitor node (CRU string 1280*1024/60), seems isnt applicable here - i receive monitor window box "wrong sync data" and monitor going off

what right parameters should I use for 1366*768/60, i need this mode for terminal laptop usage with pc via remote desktop, currently i am using a resolution of 1366*768 with the pc monitor turned off

all other custom resolutions 16-9 and 4-3 is work fine

I recently discovered CRU and have been using it to create custom resolutions for myself. They've always worked within the normal range for me. I basically use the program to create native 60hz resolutions and then create a custom 77hz resolution through AMD Radeon Software (it's safer to do it that way in my head). I created many of them (1440x1080, 1600x1024, 1280x1080), all with 77hz (maximum my monitor supports, above that it has no video response). But recently I've preferred 1920x1080 since my game (Valorant) doesn't have in-game differences between 4:3 and 16:9 and I ended up finding it a problem. At 1920x1080 the maximum I can put is 73hz. I was curious and went to try to understand why. I read the whole document and understood that the reason for this is probably the "max pixel clock" which in my case is 170MHz (as in the image). But the doubt came to me, shouldn't my limit be 300MHz? I have an RX 570 (which has an HDMI 2.0b output) and an HDMI 2.0 cable as well. Shouldn't it have a higher pixel clock number? Or does this parameter depend on the monitor?
What happens beyond 73 Hz? The max pixel clock is not used if it's not included. AMD's driver also listens to the max TMDS clock in the HDMI data block in the CTA-861 extension block as described under pixel clock limits in the first post. You should be able to go up to 340 MHz with an RX 570 for HDMI 1.x. That kind of monitor wouldn't have HDMI 2.x.

At 1920x1080 above 73 Hz the image has "artifacts". As if I had chosen the "interlaced" option.

So all I have to do to achieve a higher clock is add an extension block (or import one of the hdmi.dat files from the first post)? So I can create a resolution with higher HZ?

Your monitor already has an extension block with an HDMI data block. Why would you need to add another one? That has nothing to do with artifacts anyway. If you can set the refresh rate, then it's a monitor limitation and not a pixel clock limit on the GPU's end.

I wouldn't expect a 1280x1024 monitor to accept 1366x768. That's wider than the native resolution.

Thanks for the answer. May I change the HZ to 300 from CRU? I didn't manage to do that how may I do that?

I've got a spare 65" 4k tv (3840 x 2160 px) that is slightly damaged in the bottom part of the screen only, and rather than dispose of it or sell it for peanuts, I want to use it as a desk monitor, so that only the top 1600 px or so is used by the operating system and the bottom pixels are unused (as screen damaged there). I have it sitting on a stand behind my desk and is already lowered so that only the top part of the telly is above desk height. I would like the windows taskbar to be at desk height which is 1600px from the top of the screen.
I found out about ToastyX on Google, but I have no advanced knowledge of graphics cards and the inner working of monitors etc., so I'm a bit nervous of bricking my monitor. Can ToastyX achieve what I need, and if so, how could I blank off the bottom x number of pixel rows off my screen? Any help would be much appreciated (via Patreon also).
I don't know of a way to use only part of the screen other than centering the image.
Aw, ok. I was hoping there was a way. And so do quite a few others on the net by the looks of things! Thanks for letting me know...

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I only found the tool today I used it to increase the refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz for QHD resolution (2560*1440).
It is an AOC 4k/60hz (aoc u2790pqu).
It shows in the windows settings and in the AMD driver software that it is running with 120hz now.

So is it really true, that it is running with 120hz now?
And does this mean I don't really need a gaming screen if I only want more refresh rate?
I kind of still can't believe it which is why I'm asking ^^

You shouldn't need to ask that. The difference should be obvious just by moving the mouse if it is true.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hey Toasty, is this a know issue?

On the newest nvidia driver with the newest cru, the display settings area in nvidia control panel is hidden after making changes and restarting.

There are a few things I was using cru for, but the main ones are removing the useless 4096x2160 resolution that shows up on all 4k tvs, as it messes up a few things, and enabling 24 bit pcm audio, since things get confused when I passthough from my tv to my receiver.
