Below 46Hz -> Black screen Trying to OC the screen to 80Hz -> Black screen Conclusion: They already squeezed everything they can from the panel. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi, I'm trying to get interlaced resolutions on my CRT. But neither added by CRU being shown in display properties available modes, nor nvidia control panel lets me add interlaced resolution (just changing progressive to interlaced makes resolution not working) - Unsupported resolution by monitor.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, could someone help me with that? |

I got freesync working on DVI when I added HDMI tag but it limits me to 60hz and 40-60 range seemed to work in testing. The driver only supports FreeSync with HDMI, and it doesn't support dual-link signals with HDMI. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi,
I got a new Sony TV KD XF70 capable of doing 4K@60fps with chroma 4:4:4. I'm connecting it to a radeon R9 270 using the displayport (1.2) and an active dlp->hdmi converter from Plugable and I'm only getting 4K@60fps with chroma 4:2:2 I believe (picture looks crap with small text). The hdmi cable is brand new (amz basic certified to support hdmi 2.0). I'm wondering if I can use CRU to force 4:4:4 as the pixel format tab in the radeon settings only shows up for monitors connected with hdmi, not dlp. Unfortunately the 270 only supports hdmi 1.4 I believe which only allows 4k@30fps. I used to have a samsung 4K monitor which had DLP input and was outputting at 60fps (without artifacts) from the same radeon's DLP. I'm adding a screenshot just in case Thanks |

It needs to support HDMI 2.0 to get 4:4:4. HDMI 1.4 will only get 4:2:0. |

It's a converter from the brand "Plugable", yes it supports hdmi 2.0. from their page: https://plugable.com/products/dp-hdmi/ "Our active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter is capable of supporting up to a 594MHz pixel clock and allow resolutions up to 3840×2160@60Hz (4K)" "Our adapter has passed the extensive testing requirements necessary for VESA certification, and are compliant with VESA Dual-Mode DisplayPort 1.2, High Bit Rate 2 (HBR2), and HDMI 2.0 standards. The adapter is also AMD Eyefinity compatible." |
