I’ve tried now with an clean install of windows with the latest recommended drivers from ams now the timings work as they did before but they still won’t stick until I use the restart.exe. Is this a solvable issue? I mean it’s only a minor inconvenience but still an inconvenience I’d rather not have to do. Thank you.
I don't know how to solve an issue that's not supposed to be happening in the first place.

Problem is that i cannot set 2560x1440 resolution in Starcraft 2. BUT if I set this resolution in CRU for 60 and 75hz, the option to set 2560x1440 magicaly appears and even works without problems. BUT if I do so, freesync appears in drivers as "Not supported" and obviously is not working. Is there any fix for this? Graphics vega 64
Try enabling GPU scaling.

Didn´t solve a problem, neither i tried enabling it while CRU disabled (2560x1440 wont appear in sc2) nor enabling, while cru enabled. Resolutions appears but freesync is disabled. I see you have many questions in here. I wanted to thank you for great work at least. Thanks buddy

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi there, I have an old Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 and in my Intel control panel in advanced mode, the largest resolution is 1366 x 7689 32bit 60Hz. I opened your utility and added a standard 1920 x 1080 60Hz resolution. I clicked OK and executed restart64.exe. So far so good but then I'm lost. Sad If I re-open the Intel control panel I don't see the new resolution. If I go into my graphics card properties on the Monitor tab, I just see a drop-down to select the refresh rate. My adapter settings has an Intel tab that leads me back to Intel's control panel. My "display resolution" settings in Windows also do not give me the new resolution.

Thanks for any help!

You can't add a higher resolution to a laptop.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello,

If anybody is able to help me, my monitor would sit with a signal detected by windows and nvidia control panel but not allowed to enable the screen.

The monitor is 2560x1440 by default, I'm running a DP adapter to the DVI-D monitor. Before I was not able to get a picture or the screen to be actively on.

Using CRU, I've managed to override the EDID but the screen is just black with some backlight with the monitor on. I don't what settings I should try and turn on/off. Any help would be apprecitated thank you!

You need a dual-link DVI adapter, the kind with USB for power, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T16LLB8/?tag=mtests-20#ad

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello ToastyX o/ ,

I have a CRT monitor that I use as my main monitor.

A Lacie Electron Blue IV

Manual https://www.lacie.com/lacie-content/manu..._IV_en.pdf

Windows 10 ?? latest

I have been using this with my Nvidia GTX 980 via the mini display port. I use a little DP to VGA converter. It has worked well without issue at 1600x1200@85Hz.

I decided to upgrade to a Radeon VII . I use it for content creation and some compute things.

My problem is that I can no longer set it to run at 1600x1200@85Hz. It is limited to 60Hz in software. My eyes really don't get on well with the 60Hz and need to get back to 85Hz. My eyesight isn't great and this 60Hz is a real squint inducer.

I have tried to edit / create an inf file that includes the resolutions and

640 x 480 @ 50 to 160 Hz
800 x 600 @ 50 to 160 Hz
1024 x 768 @ 50 to 160 Hz
1280 x 1024 @ 50 to 127 Hz
1600 x 1200 @ 50 to 109 Hz
1800 x 1350 @ 50 to 98 Hz
1800 x 1440 @ 50 to 92 Hz
1856 x 1392 @ 50 to 95 Hz
1920 x 1440 @ 50 to 92 Hz
2048 x 1536 @ 50 to 86 Hz

After creating the inf file Windows refuses to install it.

Any help you can render is gratefully received

Best regards and many thanks

Thanks for getting back to me, I already have an active adapter. The problem was the screen was being detected before but wasn't able to show a consistant signal (Couldn't enable in NVIDIA or Windows). Using CRU forcing a res made the screen detected by Windows and NVIDIA.

You don't need to create an inf file with CRU. Just add the resolutions you need. Make sure GPU scaling is disabled in the Radeon control panel.

You can't add a higher resolution to a laptop.

Ah that sucks.. Sad
Thanks though. I really admire what you do on here.
