using patcher 1.2.3; AMD drivers 14.4 RC1

I've updated the patcher for 14.4. The SL limit is not needed for the QNIX/X-Star monitors, but if you already patched 14.4 with 1.2.3, the restore from backup won't work correctly unless you reinstall the driver first.

Same thing happens to me but I'm still able to overclock my monitor.

didn't patch, I installed the drivers remotely, and noticed the "issue"
thanks!
Anyone noticed that Hardware acceleration with videos is now working even with the patch applied. I tried it on Youtube and MPC-HC with Lav Filter DXVA (copy Back) enabled and it plays the video without the black/green screen issue. Is it to do with the latest version of the patcher Toastyx, either way nice one?
^ interesting! Is that with 14.4? Haven't updated to them yet

The 14.4 WHQL yes
It looks like hardware acceleration can be enabled with 14.4, but is it actually working? Is there a way to check if it's actually doing hardware acceleration and not falling back to software decoding?

The only thing i can say is that the following video used to display as black on all my browsers

Linkage

That video should have worked without hardware acceleration if you followed the workaround to install codecs and disable the Microsoft DTV-DVD video decoders. I know for sure because that's one of the videos I used to test the workaround. With 14.4, the video plays without the workaround, but I'm still not sure if it's hardware or software decoding.

With Firefox, YouTube videos that play with Flash freeze for the first 5 seconds if hardware acceleration is enabled with the patch applied, so something is still off.
