Oh yeah, apparently Freesync "works" on my monitor(XL2411Z) through DVI and I'm getting a Dell KDP70 BizLink DisplayPort to DVI (Dual Link) Active Adapter so I can once again run 144hz at 1080p.
But I seem to have issues with it, with most games blanking out my monitor when I have it on, how would I determine the Freesync range to keep it stable?

That's because the monitor doesn't support FreeSync.

I'm currently trying to create a custom resolution for my TV (se39uy04) since whenever I try to put the refresh rate above 30, it sets itself to 656 x 496 and any other resolution will just be 4k@30 scaled down to the specified size. I've read that I need to change the DALNonStandardModesBCD2 entry but my computer seems to lack most DAL entries. I've already run the pixel patch.

Is there another way to unlock my TV's refresh rate so that I can hopefully reach 2560 x 1440 @ 72hz?
Currently running windows 10 with an ROG 5700XT.

That TV doesn't support refresh rates greater than 60 Hz, and it only supports 30 Hz at 3840x2160, so you need to choose a resolution that has 60 Hz available. I don't see what DALNonStandardModesBCD2 has to do with your problem, and you don't need the pixel clock patch. You should be able to add 2560x1440 @ 60 Hz as a detailed resolution. Make sure GPU scaling is disabled if you want the TV to handle lower resolutions.

I have no idea what changed but I ran reset all and deleted the profile I made and recreated a 2k@60fps profile and for some reason it now works?? Thanks for the input anyway. Now I just need to figure out why it doesn't allow the usb to update it... Sorry for the trouble!
i have an inspiron 620 running windows 7 pro with an AMD RADEON HD 6450 Graphics Card which comes with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1280. Is CRU the right thing to use if i want to connect this system to an LG um7300pua 4k smart tv? After running CRU will 3840x2160 be in the list of resolutions in windows display settings?

The TV already defines 3840x2160, so there's no point in using CRU.
