Hi ToastyX,

I was curious why CRU v1.5.1 shows Maximum FRL rate twice in the HDMI 2.x Support EDID data block editor and why the values don't match on my system.

Maximum FRL rate in the upper-right shows 48 Gbps (12 x 4 lanes) but Maximum FRL rate: further down shows Not supported.

Also, do you have a recommended online resource that explains the various EDID flags and what they do?

The bottom one is for display stream compression. I don't even know what some of the flags are. The HDMI 2.x data block is described in the HDMI 2.1 specification, but I don't have access to the specification because it's not free, so I had to piece together the information from other sources. Usually you don't need to change anything anyway.
Dude!

You're a legend!

thanks for this man!
I was using CRU, i then reset everything. I deleted all detailed resolutions, standard, extension blocks, and established resolutions. I rebooted and now I get a black screen after boot, the only thing that ever shows is the gigabyte logo and the spinny loading signal, and then it says “Out of Range”. I tried restarting 3-4 times to bring up the troubleshooting, but it was still “out of range”. I can bring up the BIOS. Please help
Hi Folks,

I have a 2018 Vizio P-55 TV that I am connecting to my PC with an Nvidia GPU via a 25ft HDMI 2.1 18GBps cable from monoprice. I know the cable run is long and in my case I can't get 4K60 with HDR working. (It works fine with a shorter cable). The TV displays fine in SDR 10bit RGB. The Vizio has the option to turn "Full UHD Color" on or off which enables/disables HDMI 2.0b

I want to use CRU to see if I can force 4k60 HDR using 8bit sampling, or a pixel clock/data rate that is less demanding, hopefully allowing me to keep my PC where it is and use the 25ft monoprice cable. Before I start messing around with settings I was looking for advice on what options to set. Any help would be hugely appreciated!
Hello,

I've got HP Laptop Amd A6-9225 with Radeon R4. It works perfectly with external monitor NecPa301W 2560x1600@60 ( https://www.sharpnecdisplays.us/products.../pa301w-bk ) native resolution connected from HDMI to DVI. Some days ago I've bought new Asus Tuf A15 with Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics, but it can't set 2560x1600 resolution with same connection, only 1920x1200@60. I'm trying fix that problem by Cru, amd patch drivers, Radeon custom resolution, different drivers from Asus and Amd - but nothing( Only 2560x1600@40 I can get. Looks like driver has limit for G.Pixel Clock to 165000, and any trying set it even 165050 — result in an error. Any chance to fix that? https://disk.yandex.ru/i/kqA88jUQFtDXSg https://disk.yandex.ru/i/qYK2Xyw-fcG6uA https://disk.yandex.ru/i/bN6vb7aR9aPxQw https://disk.yandex.ru/d/X3e0JPVI0wY-aw

What exactly did you try with CRU? Did you try adding an HDMI data block? Try using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable instead.

Why did you delete everything? You need to boot into safe mode and run reset-all.exe. Try methods 2, 3, 4 to get into safe mode: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-b...indows-10/

I've try with CRU all presets for native resolution 2560x1600@60-40 (before and after patch the driver), set different blocks with import hdmi2 and hdmi data and turning on Support Dual-Link DVI, add native resolution to Detailed Resolution, try all Types of Extension Block. Repeat - A6 - is working fine with same setting sand same cable and same connector HDMI-DVI-D. I don't have cable USB-C to DP, of course sure it'll be works fine, but need time for delivery it from Aliexpress and extra money for it. But as I said - the old A6 works fine with this connection.
Using CRU disabled freesync in the AMD driver saying "it's not supported".

All I did was:

Enable GPU scaling (needed it for something)
Notice windows removes the 75hz setting then which is the max my monitor supports.
Used CRU to simply add it back.
AMD driver disabled freesync.
