That's because the Linux driver is allowing it, but single-link DVI ports normally should not exceed 165 MHz pixel clock, while HDMI and DisplayPort can.
I need some assistance trying to use cru. I have the hz benq zowie xl2566k and I cant use the 360 hz and when I try to change my resolution through "List all modes" black bars just appear when I press "okay"

Could you point me to an EDID file that's unlocks everything and optimized for a 55in LG CX? I mainly want to solve screen flickering on and off randomly on PCs.
From what I read online it might have to do with either Gsync or VRR but unsure

That doesn't matter. The colorimetry color spaces have nothing to do with the output color format, and I'm not sure Windows even uses the colorimetry information. Just make sure the YCbCr 4:4:4/4:2:2 color formats are disabled if you only want RGB.
Appreciate the fast responses. I ended up reset-all defaulting my monitor because i changed wayyy too many things and it looked very off. Currently at default CRU and just ended up making a custom resolution. My display resolution is 143.981hz in windows. I went into nvidia control panel and I made a custom resolution to add the same res (1920x1080), selected manual timings instead of automatic and i raised the refresh rate to 144.001. Created the custom res and everything looks smooth with no noise and full RGB colors. I noticed after creating this res, my windows displays the refresh rate at PURE 144hz now instead of the old 143.981. I'm guessing this is where nvidia overrid it, hence why things look and run great.
Is it ok to have windows show 1920x1080 @ 144hz from my old 143.981? How important is it for the pixel clock rounding to happen? Seeing as I basically canceled it I'm a little curious lol

I don't know what you're asking for. You shouldn't need to change anything in the EDID. Flickering on/off is often a signal quality issue. Make sure you have a certified 48 Gbps cable.

What are you trying to use CRU for? What GPU do you have and how is the monitor connected?
Hi everyone,
Having a weird issue with my Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED connected to my EVGA 1080 TI FTW3
The issue I'm having is any other 16:9 resolutions outside of the two it supports(4k and 1080p) seem to move up and to left of my TV or overscanning. I'm trying to use 2560x1440 and 2688x1512 both in 60hz
I've made sure to use all the timings for the resolutions I'm trying to set but they either change nothing or causes some weird colors/flickering
Something I have noticed is switching to the PC mode in my picture settings fixes the issue. However, turning off the TV or PC, changing a picture setting causes the screen to move or overscan again. Meaning I have to switch to another mode and back to PC mode. I think what's happening here is the TV thinks it needs to be in game mode which messes with the TV overscan. PC mode seems to disable over scanning.
I have messed with the GPU scaling and display scaling options and it hasn't changed anything. Disabled HDR, enabled HDR makes no changes. Tried 30hz, tried RGB 8 and 10 bit. Tried the YUV 420 and 422. No changes
I edited the HDMI 2.1 data block (which is weird... TV only had 2.0 and so does the 1080TI) and removed ALLM which changed nothing.
Since the Fire TV OS is android I did try some ADB overscan commands but can't seem to get the exact ones to fit.
Using the Nvidia control panel resize works and doesn't change back this moved/overscanning issue. I fully believe it has something to do with the hand shake between the TV and Card with ALLM and HDMI 2.1 when it should be 2.
Anyone have any ideas?

Your monitor doesn't support the custom resolution. Use GPU scaling.
