I successfully created a 24Hz resolution allowing me to reduce the discrepancies between audio and video clocks for watching video content without dropping frames. It works fine watching SDR content, but switching to HDR, using the new Windows 10 API, seems to ignore the changes made (reverts back to the standard resolutions in the Nvidia CP). Do I need to make a new custom resolution for HDR mode ? Is that even possible ?
You shouldn't need to use hdmi-audio.dat with CRU 1.3. That will remove any HDR information. Run reset-all.exe and restart. Then try adding 3840x2160 @ 24 Hz as a TV resolution in the extension block instead of a detailed resolution.

Thanks for your input. I will give it a try tonight.
Edit : I was able to create the resolution, but I forgot to mention in my initial post that the resolution I'm trying to create is based on custom a custom pixel clock. I wasn't able to create a resolution with these settings in the extension block. Am I correct in assuming that what I want to achieve is currently not possible ?
Hello and thank you for this utility.
I have a problem setting the 1024x768@120/100Hz on my S27A950D display. If I add this video mode, the monitor displays it correctly, but I get "Not optimum mode" in 60 sec.
All I want is to avoid the gpu-scale in CS:GO. I play 1024x768@120 (stretched) but my monitor says it's 1920x1080@120 if I check the OSD.
The picture is very blurry (it's 27" monitor). Is it possible to do anything?
I'm running 1060 GTX with 368.95 (win7) video drivers.
ToastyX, your utility dont support 3rd generation intel hd 4000 integrate card? i own a laptop with a intel cpu 3td generation and an ati 7970m, and i want to use my monitor at 75h, but seems your utility dont support the 3td generation, only from 4td generation, right?

Intel only added support for EDID overrides with Haswell and later CPUs.

I don't know if that monitor will allow higher refresh rates at lower resolutions. Try copying and pasting the timing parameters for 1920x1080 @ 120 Hz. Then click the "Total" radio button to leave the totals unchanged, and type in 1024x768 for the active resolution. Maybe that will trick it into working. If you still get "Not optimum mode" after that, then the monitor doesn't officially support it and you'll have to use GPU scaling.

I don't have any HDR monitors to test, so I don't know what's needed to get it working. Did you try adding a detailed resolution without removing any of the data blocks in the extension block?
Hello there,

I was a happy user of CRU with an overclocked monitor LG 34UM88 up to 75 Hz of refresh rate. It was paired with a raedon 390 at it worked flawless. Now i´ve upgraded my rig and i have adquired a 1070 from NVIDIA and i´m capable of create a new profile of the monitor with the CRU at 75 Hz as well as with the NVIDIA control panel, but it doesnt work nicely. Both of them work with the same kind of weirdness.

When i try the UFO test it runs weird at this refresh rate, with the 390 it worked nice. When i try the UFO test with 75 Hz i can see the alien stoping and going, stoping and going ( if i run it with 60 Hz it goes smooth like butter). When i run games like dota i can see it runs weird too. I know this monitor is freesync capable, but i dont think this can affect to the UFO test or games like dota, as my rig can run this graphics without problem and it should run the 75 Hz or 75 FPS with no downrates at all.

What can be going on?? How can the graphics card affect to the overclock of the monitor? Is there something i can modify in the configuration of CRU that can solve my problem? I have become a 75 Hz player and cant return back now.

Thank you and sorry for my english.
Hello, I have asus pg258q 240hz monitor. Atm my pc still building and I'm using laptop with intel hd 4600 graphics through hdmi. I'm using recommended drivers from thread - 15.40, but still can't get anything above 60hz (out of range error on monitor). Any advice? Sorry if questions like this to annoying
Hi, I have a Viewsonic 27" 2778-SMHD 1440p monitor and a gtx 1080, the highest ive been able to get is 62 hz out of it. Is this the max my monitor will allow? Ive tried literally every setting and cant get it any higher.
