I read that Sony x930e should work with 120hz, 4k and 4:2:0 sampling on hdmi 2.0. According to this thread: https://lebgeeks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18305

My graphic card is a 2080 ti.

How do I force 4k 120hz and 4:2:0 in cru? When I add the resolution like normal there is no way of changing it to 4:2:0 and the screen goes black because the bandwidth is to high without 4:2:0 enabled.

Thank you!

In the CEA-861 extension block, add a TV resolutions data block with "4:2:0 resolutions" checked, but I don't know if the driver supports 4K @ 120 Hz that way. I don't know how he got it working with NVIDIA's custom resolution because that normally doesn't allow selecting YCbCr 4:2:0.

I have no idea then. Some people with Intel GPUs mentioned having to copy and paste the changes to the duplicate inactive monitor entries, which doesn't make sense to me, but the alternative method should have done that. If there is a "Default extension block", then try deleting it.
I have been using your app for a few years on my Vega 64 with AOC AGON AG322QC4 & LG - UltraGear 32GK650F

The LG's timings are great 144.00 with 10bit colour
The AOC is 143.93 with 8bit colour

so have been using a bin file thats an export from cru of the AOC's edid edited to the LG's timings
all has been working great for well over a year

I switched to a Nvidia RTX 3090 FE yesterday i did my usual imported the bin and rebooted
but it didnt work does cru not work with nvidia drivers? i used the latest drivers dated 9th November 2020

It seems to just ignore it and stays at 143.93 8bit
instead of going to 144.00 (and opening up 10bit)

CRU works with NVIDIA. Does the .bin have a "Default extension block"? NVIDIA ignores overrides with default extension blocks.

yes it does
can i work around it?

Run reset-all.exe and restart. Is CRU able to read the extension block? If so, import the file, then click "Reset" under extension blocks.

Hi, I would appreciate some help. I have a msi gf63 laptop. Mine is 60hz, but there is a variant with a 120hz screen. I've been trying to overclock mine under the assumption (probably right) that they just use one panel and force 60 o 120hz via firmware or wathever.
I've managed to overclock mine to 108,50 hz (1080p). I can not go any higher because when I exceed 240.00 mHz pixel clock intel's graphics control panel wont even show me that custom resolution.
From my research there is no standard 240mhz cap for any connection (?). I've also used the nvidia pixel clock patcher btw. So could anybody give me a hint on what to do next please? There is a screenshot of my current custom res attached, see how the pixel clock is just under 240. Anything above that won't even show as an elegible option in the graphics panel. Thanks in advance.

Hello! For starters I want to thank you for your post! I own a laptop in the same range. I was stuck at a custom resolution of 97 hz. When I saw your post, I created a special account on the forum to thank you very much!! Heart
From what I could see, the limit is 240 mhz. For me, too, it does not exceed the value of 108,500 hz. Did you manage to find a solution? So we can reach at least 144hz? I'm not very familiar with CRU, but can't we subtract from the front porch and sync width? So we can lower the 240 mhz limit? Huh
