Hello, i bought 3 Sony XE9005 for gaming as they can take a 120hz input. I am connecting them to a GTX1080 using displayport to HDMI adpaters and with CRU i can set a new resolution of 1920x1080@120hz as it was not standard and this works perfectly. I can then configure the surround option and set 5760x1080 @120hz and all works great i can even go and play the games at his perfectly but when i restart the PC it defaults to 3840x2160 @60hz. if i then go back to configure the surround 5760x1080 @120hz is not available on 60hz. This also happens if i reset the drivers after setting the surround. Any ideas?

And to add to this i can restart the PC when each TV is set to 1920x1080@120hz with no issues it is just in surround mode the problem occurs.

Tell NVIDIA to fix their driver. They broke EDID overrides with Surround a few years ago and never fully fixed it. The main problem people complain about is the Surround configuration not sticking after rebooting.

I wondered whether this had something to do with the Display Luminance settings, which show higher minimum and much lower maximum (ie less dynamic range) on the AVR compared to the TV.

So I wondered first whether there was any way to adjust the Display Luminance settings using CRU? These are apparently stored in the EDID or an override according to the Windows documentation. But I don't know whether CRU can address these (or even if that is the issue).
I don't know what it means by AdvancedColorSupported. CRU can't edit HDR data directly, but it can copy/paste and import extension blocks with the data. The problem is CRU can't read extension blocks with Intel GPUs, so you can't copy/paste the data. See if you can export the full EDID using Monitor Asset Manager: http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm

Try getting the full EDID when connected directly, then import that into CRU when connected to the AVR.

So, the timing parameters ended up being the standard ones for 3840x2160 @ 60Hz even before you suggested that. I asked you before what I should choose, and you said that because I was using GPU scaling, it didn't matter, so I left those values unchanged, since everything was working.
You're right. It shouldn't matter with GPU scaling since it's sending the native resolution to the monitor. This seems like a driver bug because it shouldn't affect audio.

(02-21-2018 06:59 AM)EeK Wrote: [ -> ]Update: I managed to create the two custom resolutions that I wanted via the Nvidia Control Panel (Customize, under Display > Change Resolution) and still get spatial sound working. Is there any difference between that method and using CRU? I was also able to remove the 4096x2160 resolution without affecting the audio, so it's an issue exclusive to the detailed resolutions.
Some games won't recognize custom resolutions created with the NVIDIA control panel.

Greetings.

Im having a hard time getting CRU to work with my 1080p 60hz Panasonic Plasma, connected via HDMI.

The plasma is my only screen, iv used it for years.

Im trying to get 1920x820 as a custom resolution so i can use Nvidia DSR on it.

I've had it working in the past, but i cant for the life of me getting working again.

There is no presets for Plasma, only LCD and CRT.

Any help would be appreciated.
Hi everyone. I have a BenQ XL2420T monitor with dual-link dvi cable and I'm trying to create a custom resolution of 1920x1080p@120Hz but without success. I have a Nvidia GPU but my PC is crashing, so I'm using Intel's onboard graphics for now (to see if it will crash), but with Intel's driver I can't choose 120Hz (only 60Hz).

I added the custom resolution, restarted (with restart64.exe) but still there's no option for 120Hz.

What can it be? (sorry for my broken english)

Intel doesn't have dual-link DVI. You shouldn't need to add 120 Hz. The monitor already defines it.
I deleted all detailed resolutions of my laptop's display using CRU, now after a restart all I see is a turned-off black screen when booting into Windows. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to fix this?
I tried using Teamviewer but that showed a black screen with only the mouse pointer moving.

Boot into safe mode and run reset-all.exe.

Thanks, since I didn't have a spare flash drive for making a Windows 10 recovery drive (F8 no longer works for safe mode), I just used an external display to run reset-all.exe and it's fixed.
